Our commitment
Senior Homebase Florida is committed to making our website accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
Measures we take
- All images include descriptive alt text
- Page structure uses semantic HTML headings and landmarks
- Interactive elements are keyboard-navigable and include visible focus indicators
- Colour contrast meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 AA requirements
- Forms include descriptive labels and error messages
- We use the Atkinson Hyperlegible font, designed specifically for legibility for people with low vision
- Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of functionality
- No content flashes more than three times per second
Known limitations
We are continually working to improve accessibility. Some older community-detail pages may not yet meet all WCAG 2.1 AA criteria. We are working to address these issues.
Assistive technologies
Our site has been tested with screen readers including NVDA and VoiceOver, and with keyboard-only navigation. If you experience difficulties with a specific assistive technology, please let us know.
